Make Yourself at Home: Getting the welcome right for families

How do cultural venues ensure families feel welcome? This course will enable you to understand what it is about the visitor experience that leads to excellent family arts experiences. This day will provide a practical overview regarding what families need to feel truly welcomed to the arts and likely to return. Find out more.

Suitable for: Staff responsible for welcoming family audiences; particularly for those working in front of house and visitor service roles as well as those with responsibility for delivering family activities.

21st Century Family Audiences: Creating the right offer and attracting families to it

This course will enable you to keep up to date with how families are changing and what families need and want from the arts. The day will consist of practical advice and case studies showing how cultural organisations can benefit and adapt their own strategies to maximise their own reach to and engagement with families. Engaging Young People: Developing programmes for and reaching out to teenagers and young adults

This workshop aims to give participants the confidence and tools to engage young people. Participants will develop an understanding of characteristics of young people, how they engage with the arts, and reflect on the best approaches for involving young people in your organisation. More here.
