Emma Stenning

Chief Executive, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra

Emma has been Chief Executive of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra since April 2023. She brings extensive leadership experience from across the cultural sector, most recently as Executive Director of Soulpepper Theatre in Toronto, and previously as Chief Executive of Bristol Old Vic. 

Earlier in her career, Emma held senior roles including Head of Theatre at Arts Council England and Cultural Programme Advisor for the London 2012 Olympic Games, alongside work with organisations such as the Manchester International Festival and Battersea Arts Centre. 

Known for her commitment to artistic excellence and widening access to culture, Emma is passionate about connecting orchestral music with diverse audiences and championing the role of arts organisations within their communities. 

Analiese Doctrove

Fundraising and Strategy Consultant

Analiese Doctrove is a Fundraising and Strategy Consultant with nearly 20 years’ experience helping charities and purpose-driven organisations grow income, strengthen teams and build sustainable support. A former fundraising and communications director, she now works with organisations across the UK to develop practical fundraising strategies, diversify income and build confidence around fundraising at every level. 

Known for her collaborative and down-to-earth approach, Analiese helps organisations bring together fundraising, storytelling and organisational strategy to create lasting impact. 

Deborah Larwood

Director of Income Generation, Achates

Deborah leads on Achates’ income generation consultancy across the cultural sector and her work spans capital and revenue fundraising strategy, feasibility study development, mentoring and workshop delivery, new earned income product development and planning, and acting as Interim Director of Development. 

With more than fifteen years’ experience in leading Development teams in the cultural sector, Deborah has held senior positions in venue-based and touring cultural organisations as well as in the HE/FE sector, in both London and Yorkshire. Previous roles include Head of Development for Opera North where she oversaw the £18m Music Works capital campaign; Director of Development at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts; and Fundraising Manager at Sheffield Theatres. 

Deborah is a passionate advocate of peer networking and continuing professional development and has acted as Mentor and Regional Associate for Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy, as well as serving on the Chartered Institute of Fundraising’s RAISE Steering Committee.
