Looking for the 2026 Family Arts Leadership Symposium?
Family Arts Campaign are delighted to announce that our national Leadership Symposium, titled ‘A Space for Impact’ will take place on 18 March 2025, 10am – 5pm at Cecil Sharp House in London.
The Family Arts Leadership Symposium is a national event, taking place every two years to bring leaders together to discuss and change key issues relating to family arts engagement.
This year, we invite both established and aspiring leaders to join us to learn about and to strengthen the IMPACT of your work, your role, and your contribution to the cultural sector, and for families in need.
A space to…
● Find and retune your leadership style
● Investigate your values and how these can help you become an impactful leader
● Set goals, identify impact and create positive changes for families
● Learn and network with senior leaders in the art, culture and community sector
● Refresh, recharge and reflect on your impact potential
A national event bringing together aspiring and established leaders from across the United Kingdom

Programme & Schedule
Alongside keynote speakers, there is a panel discussion, workshops and opportunities to network, supporting leaders to implement change in the delivery and development of family arts.

Registration will open at 9.30am for a 10am start and the event will finish at 5pm with a drinks reception until 6pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided during the day.

Bursaries
All bursaries have now been awarded for the Family Arts Leadership Symposium 2025.

Our bursaries aim to support people experiencing one or more of the following barriers:
- Those who face barriers due to ethnicity, disability, gender identity or sexual orientation (LGBTQIA+). These spaces are part of our wider work towards creating a more inclusive sector.
- Those for whom cost is a prohibitive factor to attend the event. We want to support the organisations and individuals who are struggling during the cost of living crisis to continue their professional development by joining the event.

Who is the event for?
This event is aimed at people working in the arts and/or community sector, who have an interest in leading creative and cultural opportunities for families, and older participants.
We will provide tailored sessions designed for:
- Established leaders – Chief Executives, Directors/Senior Managers, Heads of Department and other organisational key decision makers who have been in a leadership role for at least 5 years.
- Aspiring leaders – Those who have been in a leadership role for less than 5 years or who are looking to step into one. This is for individuals keen to develop their skills and progress their career options to become leaders of the future.
The event will also include networking opportunities to meet with leaders (established and aspiring) at different points in their career to share and support best practice and learning.
