Bursaries Available
Applications now closed.
We’re excited to share that, thanks to the support of Creu Cymru, two bursaries are available for practitioners to attend the Family Arts Conference 2026.
These bursaries are open exclusively to Creu Cymru members, helping to make sure voices from across Wales are part of the national conversation.
The Family Arts Conference is a national event taking place every two years, bringing family arts professionals together to learn, connect and be inspired. This year our theme of ‘Changemakers & Storytellers’ will focus on the power of turning stories into action, passion into progress, and art into impact. You can find out more on the Family Arts Conference 2026 page.
Creu Cymru is offering two bursaries to support its members in attending the Family Arts Conference, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to fostering inclusive, family-focused programming across Wales. The organisation recognises the value of this national event in sharing best practice, inspiring new ideas, and strengthening networks among arts professionals passionate about engaging families. By removing financial barriers, the bursaries aim to ensure that members, particularly those from smaller organisations or underrepresented communities, can benefit from the learning and inspiration the conference provides and bring that knowledge back to enrich their local work.
Family Arts Campaign are also offering 23 subsidised tickets, which are open to practitioners from across the UK. For more information visit our Bursaries page.
Bursary criteria:
- Applicants must be Creu Cymru members
- Applicants must be from a venue or organisation based in Wales (freelancers working within a venue/organisation may also apply)
- A maximum of one bursary per venue/organisation will be awarded
Bursary recipients will receive a fully subsidised ticket to the Family Arts Conference (usually £225), and a small travel allowance to support attendance (up to £75).
Bursary recipients will also be asked to provide a short report outlining the benefits of the bursary and learnings from the conference, to be shared with other Creu Cymru members. This report could be in the form of a blog post, video or other creative medium, and will be managed directly by Creu Cymru.
