Pre-conference networking event & awards ceremony

Circomedia, Portland Square, Bristol
All Family Arts Conference delegates are invited to a pre-conference celebration and networking event on the evening preceding the conference. As spaces are limited, we ask that you please book your place in advance if you would like to attend this event.
Network with other Family Arts Conference delegates as well as hear from some of the UKs best family arts practitioners, event organisers, and venues.
The evening will consist of:
5.30pm: Arrival: welcome drinks and nibbles and a chance to try a Drawing with Light activity (draw/write in the air and have your designs photographed) from Swansea’s Mission Gallery
6.30pm:
- Family Arts Festival Awards: a celebration of the achievements of the past year through the presentation of awards for outstanding family work presented as part of the 2016 Family Arts Festival. Awards will be presented by Phil Cave, Director of Engagement and Audience for Arts Council England.
- Speakers: Jude Merrill – Artistic Producer for Travelling Light Theatre Company, Anne Torreggiani – Chief Executive Officer of The Audience Agency, and Phil Cave from Arts Council England.
- A performance from our event partners: Circomedia’s Youth Circus and BTEC students on the theme of ‘home’.
- Networking: network with other arts professionals over a drink and light refreshments
