30 Stories of Family Arts:
Men Who Make was developed in response to growing need during the pandemic, where intense isolation left many in mental health crisis with older men particularly at risk.
Men Who Make is a creative provision for this group to make social connections, learn new skills, share knowledge, build confidence, develop tools for self-nurture and improve mental health and wellbeing.
Through ‘shoulder to shoulder’ support, weekly courses focused on various making processes, incorporating a creative approach to mental health, wellbeing and social prescribing, supported by citywide partnerships.Sessions provide gentle environments to learn and share skills, developing confidence and agency.
