30 Stories of Family Arts:
Age UK Oxfordshire

“For me this group is completely different to anything I have been part of before but it feels like it’s embracing the move into ‘older life’.” – AFCA Member

The Age Friendly Creative Ambassador group evolved from a co-designed project during lockdown. The group is comprised of creative older people who believe more older people should be able access inclusive creativity and cultural opportunities across Oxfordshire. Using their wide range of experience to influence the cultural sector to be more age friendly, ambassadors are local champions that provide peer-to-peer inspiration and raise the profile of creativity in later life wherever possible.

Age UK Oxfordshire is a local Age UK organisation, with a commitment to creativity and culture and a national exemplar of best practice in Age Friendly Creative delivery. They manage networks and deliver projects at a local level, that have national scalability, and manage networks and deliver projects at a national level that support grassroots delivery in hyper-local places.
